Production Description

The 621 Series Laser Wavelength Meters accurately and reliably measure the absolute wavelength of virtually any CW laser source. Bristol Instruments has built upon its more than 35 years of experience with Burleigh Instruments, once the leader in laser wavelength measurement technology. The result is a new generation of advanced laser wavelength meters that provide the benefit of greater confidence in experimental results.

Two versions of the 621 Laser Wavelength Meter are available. The model 621A is offered for the most demanding experiments, measuring absolute wavelength to the highest accuracy of ¡¾ 0.2 ppm (¡¾ 0.0002 nm at 1000 nm). For experiments that are less exacting, the model 621B is a lower-priced alternative. This system measures laser wavelength to an accuracy of ¡¾ 1.0 ppm (¡¾ 0.001 nm at 1000 nm).

The wavelength measurement accuracy of the model 621 is guaranteed because the system is continuously calibrated with a built-in wavelength standard. And, with exceptional repeatability, the measurement confidence level of the model 621 is 3. This means that 99.6% of the wavelength measurements fall within the specified limits, something that is verified with NIST recognized standards.

Three different wavelength ranges are available for the 621 Series Laser Wavelength Meter. These ranges are the VIS (350 –1100 nm), NIR (500 –1700 nm), and IR (1.5 – 4.0 m), and should satisfy virtually any experimental requirement.

Due to features such as a minimum input power requirement as low as 1 W, automatic
electronic gain control, and convenient USB instrument interface, it is easy to integrate the
621 system into an experiment for real-time wavelength information. Such integration
enables the following actions.

    - Measures CW laser wavelength to the highest accuracy available
 - Verifies laser wavelength continuously and in real-time
 - Reports and controls laser wavelength automatically
 - Sets laser precisely to an important wavelength

Finally, with the VIS and NIR versions of the model 621, total optical power is measured in
order to provide a more complete analysis of laser properties
