HAL - Heterodyne Agile Laser

HAL is a cw laser locked to a Doppler-free hyperfine transition of an alkali metal. It integrates a second laser offset phase locked to this master with ±9.5 GHz frequency tunability. It is optically isolated and fiber-coupled. All of this in a butterfly package that easily fits into the palm of your hand. 

Vescent Photonics makes compact, atom-referenced tunable lasers for time keeping, frequency standards, and optical physics. We can design and build a HAL to your requirements.

SUB-MILLIKELVIN TEMPERATURE STABILITY

D2-135 Offset Phase Lock

The Vescent D2-135 OPLS can be used to create a phase lock between a master laser and a slave laser with a user-controlled frequency offset in the range of 250 MHz to >9.5 GHz. We quantified the lock performance by measuring the phase noise between master and slave for a phase lock between two D2-100-DBR lasers.
