Periodically Poled Lithium Niobate (PPLN) is a high efficiency crystal for changing the wavelength (colour) of laser light
Our proprietary PPLN domain engineering process provides high quality crystals for a wide range of popular wavelength conversion systems. We offer off-the-shelf and custom devices that can be tailored to match your existing laser to new wavelengths in the 460-5100nm range and offer OEM design services for a range of applications.
PPLN for Laser Displays
Covesion Magnesium-doped PPLN (MgO:PPLN) is specially designed for laser displays. Magnesium significantly increases the optical and photorefractive resistance of our crystals while preserving the high nonlinear coefficient: an ideal combination for converting low-cost infrared lasers into vivid Red-Green-Blue colours. Our proprietary MgO:PPLN poling process provides high quality material and is scalable for volume OEM manufacture.
PPLN for Mid-IR applications
Versatile domain engineering allows us to create PPLN for a wide range of targeted and tunable applications throughout the mid-infrared. Applications include remote gas detection, spectroscopy, and pharmaceutical process monitoring. We also supply a range of accessories and systems specially designed to work with our crystals.
