New capabilities:
 
New line product – diffractive Axicon lens

An Axicon lens can be implemented in an optical system in order to produce a narrow ring-shaped image. Common applications are: optical alignments, Corneal Surgery, OCT (Optical Coherence Tomography), Atom Traps and EDOF (extended depth of focus).
Our design benefits are compact size, an availability of small/large fan angles and flexibility for different operation wavelength from the DUV toward the Far IR. Unlike refractive elements, diffractive Axicons can be designed to create multi ring images with a single element.
HoloOr is proud to introduce an initial Axicon DOE (Diffractive Optical Element) series. These elements generate a single ring image (Bessel beam) with different fan angles: 15.3¡Æ or 31¡Æ at 532nm, and 0.3¡Æ or 8.1¡Æ at 1064nm. Semi standard solutions can be easily manufactured for different operational wavelengths. 


 

Optical calculator – new feature for Top hat design

We recently added a new feature for designing Top hats, to our interactive optical calculator. This may help the customer to evaluate if the required parameters of the top hat are feasible (based on the fact that top hat should be at least 1.5 times larger than the noted diffraction limit value). In addition, the user can learn more about the top hat transfer region/slope. To use the new feature, please follow the link below:

New Products:

As part of our effort to lead the DOE market for high power applications, HoloOr¡¯s R&D team constantly dedicates a lot of resources in the development and manufacturing of new products. We would like to share with you some of  our new designs.

Multi focal – A 9 foci lens

We now offer two new MF elements with 9 foci:
MF-003-G-Y-A and MF-003-I-Y-A which are designed to operate in wavelengths of 1550nm and 1064nm, respectively. Using this kind of element with an objective can yield total separation of around few hundred microns in air.

Top-hat beam shaper – A low cost 1D line top hat - TH-239-1-Y-A

This line top-hat is designed to work with a 1070nm input Gaussian beam. It has 0.5mRad fan angle, so the actual image size can be easily calculated by the following equation: Line_size=2*WD*tan(Fan_angle/2)
  .

This is a low cost binary design which could be converted to any other operation wavelength.


Multi spots beam splitter – A small 101X101 MS DOE

In the figure to the left, we introduce one of our tailored solutions MS DOE for the machine vision/3D sensing application. These are small dimension, random (but stationary) 101X101 multi spots.  The standard products MS-363-Q-Y-A and MS-371-Q-Y-A reach full angles of 20¡ÆX20¡Æ and 12¡ÆX12¡Æ with a typical efficiency of around 75%.

Homogenizer / Diffuser – High homogeneity series

We now offer an improved homogenizer/diffuser - the homogeneity HH/RH series. This product has been mainly used in 355nm by scanning systems. The advantages of this series are that homogeneity is superior and less sensitive to a zero order. It also works well with input beams of lower M2.  The products in this family include: RH-206-I-Y-A, RH-217-W-Y-A and RH-218-Q-Y-A.

 

Vortex Lens:

We have now vortex lens with a new topological charge: m=4 (VL-218-I-Y-A) and m=6 (VL-225-Q-Y-A). The doughnut-shape on the image plane has larger dimensions comparing to products with lower m values.
