High LIDT AR Coatings

EKSMA Optics has long-term expertise in design and manufacturing of nonlinear crystals. As a result of our technical knowledge and modern in-house Ion Beam Sputtering coating facility, we can now offer a new grade of anti-reflection coatings for nonlinear LBO crystals, which feature exceptionally high laser-induced damage threshold.

Nonlinear LBO crystals are widely used as harmonic generation crystals for the conversion of laser wavelengths from near IR to Visible and UV wavelengths in high power industrial laser systems.

Anti-Reflection Coated and LIDT Tested

>70 J/cm² at 1064 nm, 100 Hz, 10 ns, TEM₀₀.

>20 J/cm² at 532 nm, 100 Hz, 6 ns, TEM₀₀.

>10 J/cm² at 355 nm, 100 Hz, 5 ns, TEM₀₀.

LIDT tests were carried out according to ISO 21254-2 standard 1000-on-1 procedure. Laser beams with diameter 210-240 of microns at 1/e² level were used in the tests.
