High-voltage Modules (DC to DC converter) with the Smallest Possible Dimensions

The miniature high-voltage dBC (digital bias controller)-series modules are particularly well suited for the operation of avalanche photodiodes and fast PIN photodiodes. We have three versions available.

¡¤         dBC-120-3V: Because of its properties, this HV module is perfectly suited for InGaAs APDs and very fast PIN photodiodes.

¡¤         dBC-220-3V: The dBC-220-3V module is the ideal universal controller for Si APDs.

¡¤         dBC-380-5V: Developed to supply avalanche photodiodes, the dBC-380-5V module works particularly well with large-area APDs.

All versions have an extremely compact design and nickel-plated metal housing of 21 mm x 21 mm x 10 mm in common. In addition, the temperature coefficient of the output voltage can be adjusted precisely to suit the properties of the corresponding APD. Discrete APDs or APD modules can both be operated, even with an integrated temperature sensor.

The output current is limited to a safe maximum value of 0.8 mA to effectively protect the APD from overloading. The output voltage is adjusted either analogously or digitally using a programming interface for the microcontroller.

The Company            LASER COMPONENTS is specialized in the development, manufacture, and sale of components and services for the laser and opto-electronics industries. With sales offices in four different countries, the company has served its customers since 1982. In-house production at six locations in Germany, Canada, and the USA began in 1986 and is meanwhile responsible for about half of its turnover. Currently, the family-run business employs more than 120 people worldwide.
